I love holidays. I'm always up for a celebration. But there's often too much pressure to observe formal occasions as storybooks and Norman Rockwell paintings illustrate. So, as a counterbalance I devise my own slightly iconoclastic and certainly idiosyncratic special events! Almost anything warrants a holiday. In fact, the more mundane the better! And even when it's one of those annual affairs, I seem to always find some different way to observe them.
